Parish records

The Church has a number of historical records which are available for inspection:

  • The Parish registers (Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths) going back, in some cases, as far as 1585,  and continuously from the 18th century.
  • A location record of graves and monuments in the churchyard, mapped to a churchyard plan.
  • Bound copies of the parish magazine/newsletter – since 1929.

If you would like to consult these, please make direct contact with the verger; Christine Ward-Campbell: 01423 870492; verger@strobertschurch.co.uk to arrange a convenient time to visit the Church and inspect these records.  We would normally expect a small donation for this assistance, and if you have requests which involve a significant amount of research on the part of the Church, then a formal fee may be requested.

  • Copies of the minutes of the Parochial Church Council (PCC) can be inspected in the Church office.

Please contact the office if you wish to do this: 01423 873577 (between 9.30 and 12.30 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays); or e-mail admin@strobertschurch.co.uk
