Yes, we really do need to keep at the fundraising.\u00a0 We have several projects to take forward – and support for all our fundraising events is a great way for members of our congregation (and others….friends, neighbours, relations and colleagues) to engage in something specific and targeted to both our immediate and long-term needs. Please let\u00a0 the Churchwardens or Vicar know if you have any bright ideas for possible fundraising events…..especially if you would like to mastermind the running of one.

Midsummer Barbecue and Garden Party<\/h6>\n

After an enforced Covid-break, the choir was back organising the biennial Midsummer Barbecue and Garden Party at 12 Rossett Green Lane on Saturday, June 24th, 2023.<\/strong>\u00a0 Barbecue, stalls, games, bar for beer, wine and soft drinks, and raffle from mid-afternoon to evening – provided good company, fun and games for all ages.\u00a0 Congratulations to all organisers and attendees, who raised \u00a31184 for funds.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Quiz night<\/h6>\n

\"\"<\/a>Peter Stretton ran one of his excellent quiz nights in the Chapter House on the evening of Saturday, April 22nd.<\/span>\u00a0 There was hot competition to win …fuelled by some excellent home-made on-site chilli con carne from Monika and Rachel.\u00a0 Christine Littlewood organised a raffle.\u00a0 An overall total in excess of \u00a3700 was raised as a welcome addition to church funds.<\/p>\n
