St Robert’s ANNUAL PARISH MEETING and the ANNUAL PAROCHIAL CHURCH MEETING (APCM) were last held during Morning Worship at 9.15am on Sunday May 10th, 2026<\/strong><\/span>

At the Annual Parish Meeting, two nominations were received for candidates to be elected as Churchwarden, and, consequently, at the Parish Meeting, Stuart Newsome (for the third time)\u00a0 and Claire Pickthall (for the first time) were elected, unopposed, to serve for the following year.
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Churchwardens become ex-officio members of the PCC<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Nominations were received for Shirley Clegg, Jeremy Frearson, Ann Howard and Iain Ward-Campbell to be elected as St Robert’s Church\u00a0 representatives for a three-year term on the Deanery Synod. There being no further nominations, they were elected unopposed.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Deanery Synod representatives become ex-officio members of the PCC<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Nominations were received for Sam Essen to be elected to the PCC for a first three-year term.\u00a0 There being no further nominations, they were elected unopposed.\u00a0 This leaves two positions on the PCC currently vacant.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span><\/span>Annual Report for 2025<\/span>, including reports covering finance, fabric, electoral roll and Deanery Synod, was presented to the meeting; the Financial Statements for 2025<\/span><\/a> were received by the meeting and a vote of thanks recorded for Anita Hawker our outgoing Treasurer and the external examiner – Jo Thompson – who was re-appointed to act for 2025.\u00a0 <\/span>Click here for details of the Annual Report<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

At a meeting of the new PCC held on May 12th, 2026.\u00a0 Sam Essen was elected as PCC Treasurer and Rachael Stray was elected PCC Secretary and co-opted as a PCC member for one year until the next APCM.\u00a0 Tim Wilson was elected as Chair of the Fabric Sub-Committee and Iain Ward-Campbell as Chair of the Finance Sub-Committee.\u00a0 The PCC appointed Sam Essen and Tim Wilson to sit on the PCC’s Standing Committee alongside the Vicar and Churchwardens who are ex-officio members of that Committee.<\/strong><\/p>\n
