Harvest Festival Scarecrows

St Robert’s Church and Pannal Methodists joined in a Harvest Festival Scarecrow project in support of the Harrogate District Foodbank (click on their logo to learn more).

The event took place over the weekend of October 10th/11th and there were an amazing 63 entries with a further half dozen of ‘non-competing’ scarecrows as well.

Voting finished on Monday 12th and the winners were announced in the morning on Sunday, October 18th.  Details of the winners below:

1st Place ‘Team Scarecrow’

2nd Place ‘Farmer and Shaun’

3rd Place ‘Done Key Gift’

And the Special Mentions – Scarecrows made by children are:

Tyranno-Strawus-Rex, Burn Bridge Watch and Mr Screen.

And an enormous thank you to everyone who made a Scarecrow…they were tremendous and put so many smiles onto so many people’s faces last weekend.

We still have donations coming in….to date we have raised over £1700 for Harrogate District Food Bank!  Adding to that the reclaimable Gift Aid and the total is over £2000!!
